The 59-year-old Dutchman asks the court to reduce age for 20 years: Women are talking to me.

An incorrigibly Dutch positiveer has launched a legal battle to change his age to official documents so as to improve opportunities for online employment and dating with women. 59-year-old Emile Ratelband wants his real birthday, which is March 11, 1949, to be returned for 20 years, by [...]

59-year-old Emile Ratelband wants his real birthday, which is March 11, 1949, to be returned for 20 years, making it March 11, 1969. He has compared the right to changing age with the right to change gender, writes Periscope.

We live at a time when you can change your name and gender. Why can't I even decide for my age”, he said.

A local court in the eastern town of Arnem is expected to make decisions concerning the case in a period of four weeks.

However, officials have voiced scepticism about his request, believing there is no legal mechanism to allow a person to change his birth date.

One of the judges has asked what will happen to the 20 years Ratelband wants to wipe out.

So who did your parents look after? Who was that little boy”, he asked.

Ratelband has said he feels discriminated against because of his age, and that age has affected employment opportunities, and has reduced the chances of reaching a meeting on the Tinder app.

When I'm 69, I'm limited. If I'm 49, I can buy a new house, have a different car. I can work harder”

When I enter Tinder and say I'm 69, I don't get any answers. If I were 49, with my appearance, I could be a good option”

Ratelband has said that according to doctors he has a body of a 45-year-old, describing himself as a strong young “”. /Periscopi/
