The commander of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK), Lieutenant General Nundman Rama, has indicated that the Kosovo Army will have 8 000 members, 5,000 active members and 3 000 reserves.
“The KSF will be a multiethnic and armed military force. The Kosovo Security Force will have 5,000 active members and 3 000 reserves. So there will be a hundred percent increase. The first draft will be early next year. Depending on developments there will be increased force”, Rama told the newspaper “New age”
He has also indicated that with the adoption of a package of bills to transform the KSF, the mission of this force changes to military mission.
On Monday, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has suggested that, with the formation of the army, the need for recruiting new members in the force will increase.
