A drug lab has been discovered by police in a city in the country's northeast, rather in a village of Hasi. Sources told Laps.al that the police operation has hit a group of narco-traffickingrs operating in Albania and Germany.
Lapsy.al learned that a quantity of opium has been discovered in the laboratory, which serves as the basis for heroin production and about 150 kilograms of heroin.
So far, five arrests have been conducted, but the amount of drugs, tools and equipment found in the laboratory still remains unconfirmed. Investigations and executions of arrests are being conducted by the State Police and the General Prosecutor.
According to LAPSI.al sources, five people were arrested for the lab, and a amount of narcotics was seized. Those arrested are V. B, F C, J. S., M. S, A. S.
Initially, it was Hasi's local police that recorded an object suspected of processing heroin.
Preliminary information is still unconfirmed by the police because the operation is still under way.
This is the second sophisticated drug laboratory discovered by police after cocaine, discovered in March 2016 in the village of Elbasan. Even then, the group that controlled the arrival of cocaine from Colombia, its extraction, and the sale had Germany as its destination.
