The giant rock travels to Earth with 60,000 miles per hour

A large asteroid called “2018 SP1” is moving to Earth. Space rock is estimated to be as much a statue of Liberty or a little larger. The giant rock was discovered on 19 September by NASA and travels to the ground at a speed of 60,000 km/h. SP1 has a diameter of 70m and 160m, which [...]
The giant rock was discovered on 19 September by NASA and travels to the ground at a speed of 60,000 km/h.
The SP1 has a diameter of 70m and 160m, which is comparable to the size of the Liberty station or a standard football field.
The asteroid is included in the subx0 potentially dangerous “category” in NASA terms, given to all asteroids travelling in the vicinity of Earth and are larger than 500 meters in diameter.
The space object is expected to have a closer “approaches” with Earth.
It's still too far to panic, as the nearest distance that will be with our planet is 16 times further than the moon.
After crossing Earth, SP1 will have a close approach to Venus a month later. The next time the asteroid is expected to pass the Earth is 33 years, on October 2, 2051.
