One of the members of the Serbian delegation on this committee -- once the vice president of this committee, Marija Obradovic -- has said Pristina has no kind of support to apply for membership in the Council of Europe, writes Periscopi.
She has stressed that Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli has failed to provide support for Kosovo at meetings he has held there.
Their “Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli has been in Strasbourg on the eve of holding the Committee's winter session, which will be held this week, and has tried to foster actions about Kosovo's application, but has not accepted even the slightest support for it. After Oliver Ivanov's assassination, it is clear that the Council of Europe has no respect for Kosovo”, Obradovic has said of the Serbian daily “Vecenje Novosti”.
The Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will exchange views on the situation in Kosovo on the occasion of drafting a report on respect for human rights, rule of law, as well as achieving standards set by the Council of Europe.
“We will try in the report to include Pristina's refusal in Belgrade's bid to be key to the investigation into Ivanoviq”, Obradovic has said. /Periscopi/
