President Macron promised that the public “would not see anyone on the street” by the end of 2017, after the criticism of the way immigrants lived in France, many people welcomed such a bold statement, reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.


As the first week of 2018 begins, thousands of immigrants are still on the streets of France, still awaiting a more stable refuge than a silent tent.
Rafi is one of hundreds of immigrants who have camped for at least one night near Yaurès subway station in Paris over the past two years.
He's been in France for seven months. First, he headed for Calais in the hope of reaching the United Kingdom. After failing to pass through the English Channel, however, he came to Paris, hoping that he would be given asylum.
“I left Afghanistan because of the Taliban”, he says. “I've been here in Paris for a month and it's cold”, he added. /Periscopi/
