Who is McCumbin Mehmeti, whom Nazim Blace called “Diamant”?

It is mid- 2015 and EULEX co-operative witness for a series of post-war crimes, Nazim Blace, was communicating with justice officials in the Republic of Serbia. The “D” ward of Dubrava's prison was writing with “Remember Shehu”, a resting name of its contact person.

Recall Shehu” accepts a detailed report from Blace for the contacts he had set up and was trying to recruit him for one of the largest cases of post-war crimes against the Serb minority in Kosovo, the attack on the bus “Nis-Express”. This person Blace refers to as “Diamanti” in correspondence, a copy of which is reported in Express.

“Dialanti” appears to be Shkumbin Mehmeti, a witness who late Thursday in “Klan Kosova” shook the opinion again with his claims that he knew who committed some of the most spectacular post-war killings, and claimed that he could also be a witness of the Special Court that so feared the current Kosovo political class of former General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Mehmeti years ago in an interview at “Koha Ditore” had made a series of similar accusations.

But who's actually the Memeti Shumbin?

What is known a little more certainly about this person is that he's now in prison serving a 30-year sentence for killing two policemen, one of them. UNMIK and one of Kosovo after a shootout near Podujevo. In this crime Mehmeti later said in the media he was a participant, but not a key one.

Other stories taken over by him, and confessed as his knowledge of crimes, have been questioned so far, as well as his will to testify in the case known “Nish-Express”.

For this case, codating as “Diamanti”, Nazim Blace had attempted to recruit Shkumbin Mehmeti to work as a witness to Belgrade's Organised Crime Police, but the same case was to be investigated in parallel with EULEX as well. Many attempts were made, but on June 9, 2015, the whole story closes as a failure.

My concern has been to offer the witness to Eluxi, the witness who was able to tell everything that happened at the Nis Express event. Eulexchi first had to ask Shkumbin Mehmet what he's looking for and then to look for Euex from the McCumbin Mehmeti declarations or physical evidence. That's the problem. No one's stupid to give evidence without meeting the demands. I am Mr. Djindovic offered the witness to Eulexei that was my duty (the angels are quoted exactly as they are in communications, without being discouraged)”, Blace wrote to his employer in Belgrade.

In another communication he gives more details.

Alain (Alen Cansick prosecutor) has recently announced Shkumbin Memeti cannot start the Nis Express case because there is no physical additional evidence so except with a witness's declaration can't begin the case. I've read the contents of the email that Alan sent to McCumbin Mehmet today. I wanted to inform you that the Mehemti Shumbin told me today after he admitted his email that he's not ready to continue the Nis Express case. The theme about Nis Express concludes today and ends”, Blace writes in his communications with his employer in Belgrade, a security organ official.

Another communication between Blaze and his contacts in Belgrade suggests that prosecutor EULEX, Allen Cansick and Shumbin Mehmeti have met on June one, 2015, and Mehmeti to the international prosecutor has had conditions, before he starts reopening the investigation of the case known as “Nish-Express”.

In a detailed report that E witness EULEX '%s' also refers to his employers in the Republic of Serbia, explaining in detail his knowledge and work on recruiting Mehmet, as well as to what he called “the monthly salary issue”, which in another communication explains by demanding a monthly salary of 500 euros from investigative organs in Belgrade, that would come through his relatives living in the West. In other e-mails, he also complains that his pay wasn't coming any more.

In the case of familiarity with Shkumbin Mehmetin, Blace begins reporting this way: “after being placed in the Dubrava Prison I met with Shkumbi Mehemtin, who is convicted of a criminal veged at 23,03.2004 near Podujevo, where two police officers had been killed UNMIK and the other KPS. 13 persons were first charged with this criminal act, and 12 were later released, only the McCumbin Mehmeti had been sentenced to 30 years in prison”.

Blace writes that “McCejbin Meqari belongs to Florim Ejupi's group, Agron Sylejmen's slain -- Bayram Kiqmarit, Alban Dizdar, Ruzhdi Shaqiri (killed) Qerimi Kelmendit , Ibrahmi Kelemndit Xhavit Kosumi e.”, and says Shkumbin Mehmeti “a test linking the explosion used against Nis Express to another event, then Shkmbin Mehemeti says that the Efim has the direct support of Veselin Cadrevan Express, wrote the report on his 14th page.

Shkumbin Mehmeti, the witness that Thursday evening was presented at “Kosovan Kosova”, has accused the brothers of organising many post-war murders in Kosovo and speaking of the activity of a group of people, which he has said committed some of the most serious post-war criminal cases, including political killings.

The one who said he was a member of this group, along with the Kelmendi Brothers, has said the Kelmends have ordered the murder of LDK deputy Smail Hajdaraj, and Tahir Zemaj.

On the other hand, Mehmet charged that the Kelmends have charged Florim Ejupi with the murder of Xhavit Halit, deputy PDK's dead, but the plan for his murder is stuck.

Mehmeti has also said that the LDK's assassination of Xhemail Mustafa has been done by Agron Sylejmani's hand, now dead.

The Witness has also mentioned both in the post-war killings and the brother of Lahi Brahimaj, the former Parliament President, from the AAKA and family ranks of Ramush Haradinaj on his mother's side.

He has mentioned investigative police Fadil Sylevic as involved in many murders, who in an exclusive confession to Express on Friday has denied Mehmtig's accusations, as Ibrahim Kelmendi did in a proposal given to the newspaper.

McCumbin Mehmeti in an interview for “Koha Ditore” given many years ago would appear with claims of great knowledge in the post-war crime world in Kosovo, claiming there is information about at least 6 murder of Kidnapime, while his recruit, Nazim Blaca, had claimed to be part of 17 criminal shares such as murder, kidnappings, tenim-ates, blackmail, etc.
