Such a fact is confirmed by data released by the European Statistics Institute (Euristat), according to which, together with Iceland, Albania represents the highest percentage of this index, respectively 69.4% and 72.6%, while in other countries that percentage is smaller.
According to experts, the use of clean energy in Albania is high because the country relies on the production of hydropower plants 100%.
Meanwhile, in the European Union, this percentage is only 17, twice as high as 2014.
The European Union's goal is to produce 20% of the energy from renewable sources by 2020, while in 2030 that percentage is 27.
