Acting Minister for Dialogue Edita Tahiri said today she doubts the seriousness of Serbia's president's initiative for an internal Serbian dialogue on Kosovo.
On days when Aleksandar Vuciq's initiative has become the main topic of Serbian politics, Tahiri told KALLXO.com that he has seen shortcomings since the beginning of the road.
“What I'm seeing from this up-to-date debate, neither the president of Serbia nor the foreign minister nor other government factors are citing the war, the demanding and forgiving genocide”, Tahiri said, which since 2011 leads the Kosovo delegation in technical talks on normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations brokered by the European Union.
“are trying to see Kosovo-Serbia relations outside the context of Serbia's genocide war in Kosovo. If they fail to take into account this factor, they are unable to develop dialogue within Serbia that leads to the permanent solution and that is the solution to the future of new generations”, she added.
According to Tahiri, this idea, which for the most part is Serbia's attempt to create a new image in the world, but is done at the time when Kosovo's northern neighbouring state has warned it will accept weapons supplies from its main political ally, Russia.
This is disturbing for Edita Tahiri.
Serbia's “Western ears launch readiness for dialogue and peace with Kosovo, and on the other hand armed by Russia. This is distressing not only for Kosovo and the region, but especially is the message for the Euro-Atlantic factor, which with a Serbia being armed by Russia and a warmongering dictionary like Dachi does, it cannot be Serbia that can contribute to neighbourhood and peace”, she said.
