In the Europe countries there are three kinds of attitudes towards homosexuals: equality, discrimination and full ignorance, says Krsto Lazarevic.

Do you remember George W's oath. Bush as president of the US, the extradition of Slobodan Milosevic to the Hague International Court and then also how Ebbe Sand and Sergey Barbares share the title of the King's port in German Bundeslig?

That was a long time ago. In 2001, to be accurate. This was also the year in which the Netherlands decided to end the discrimination against homosexuals and apply marriages to them. In 2003 Belgium and 2005 followed Catholic Spain. The Catholic Church warns from these marriages, but after all, she also warned of witches and burned them. Well, if I could just formulate it, you could say, that the Catholic Church is not always in the step of social progress. In 2015 the Irish don't give a shit about the recommendations. Popes and applied marriages throughout the referendum.

Germany took the same step Friday. Bundestag voted for the application of marriage to all of the will of Chancellor Angela Merkel, who voted against marriage within the same sex.

During the vote in Bundestag, the connection between one's sex partners was very much targeted. It was a matter of principled principledness, if all had to ensure one's right and one's chance, or if absurd reasons should be invented for protecting its own privileges and for discriminating others. The reasons I set out against these marriages are not dignified for a liberal society.

There are three patterns of attitude toward each other in Europe. Germany now joined the group of progressive states. That's what you can call a “European-Western model and Scandinavian”, which is also practiced in Franz, Portugal, Finland and Luxembourg. In short and in short: homosexuals and lesbians are allowed to marry and enjoy a right as heterosexual practices. And drop.

But there is also the “model, we don't have anything for homosexuals, but”, in which until Friday, Germany was part of. In countries, which practice this model, homosexuals are allowed to “ken a registered partnership”. But they don't enjoy the same rights as heterosexuals. This discrimination policy is pursued in Austria, in Czechia, Switzerland, Italy, Greece and Estonia. In Slovenia, there has been first marriage for all, this voted in parliament, but following a popular referendum, this law was abolished by a partnership law. Trumpets of advertising throughout marriages within Slovenia's sex benefited from the Catholic Church's money.

Austria's conservative party, ♫VP, in the background of opening in Germany to all marriages, feels now in a difficult position to act. Party Speaker Sebastian Kurz will not open his position on this subject for reasons of electoral tact. Conservatives in Austria have voters, who are gay. But they also have voters who hate homosexuals. So don't lose the elective groups, in Austria this issue is kept closed.

And anyway, it's better to be this cowardic attitude of ♫VP than the third model. I call this “the Eastern European Model” on us no, where the existence of homosexuals with pity to marry is simply ignored. In countries like Romania, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina are not recognised marriage throughout. Even in most of these countries, this is not even a discussion issue, because homosexuality continues to be taboo. Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina could gain a lot. They could have entered into stories like the first countries with multi-Muslim Muslim populations to open up for all marriages. The Albanian government, in 2009, even stated, that it would submit a draft law on the ground, but that since then it was nothing.

And there's also a group of countries that follow the motto “by the model “to which they have anchored in their constitution, that marriage is defined as a connection between husband and wife. At that point, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro participated. Governments of these countries are so many everywhere in marriage that they even want to stop to apply it to future generations. In Croatia in 2013, following a referendum, marriage was determined to be a relationship between husband and wife. Even here the Catholic Church has reported on the continuation of homosexual discrimination.

But Serbia now with a lesbian prime minister” will probably change some things. This is true and a progress, if you think, that those who hate homosexuals in October 2010 in Belgrade wanted to connect with homosexuals. However, the lives of homosexuals in Serbia will not be passed automatically. Prime Minister Anna Brnabici so far has no eye, which has committed herself to the legal equality of homosexuals. In Serbia homosexuals are regularly beaten in public spaces. About as long as it doesn't change anything in that direction, neither does a lesbian prime minister have much value.

European countries, which have decided on equality, would do well to motivate countries in the Central and South East Europe over the next ten. Despite the enthusiasm in Germany, we must not forget, which is also the place where homosexuals have to hide, and this between Europes.
