The use of the summer season for attacks on Albania's tourism is becoming an annual ritual in some Kosovo media. Some say it's a marketing issue of companies that want to send people to Turkey, or Montenegro's coast. Others feel that Albania's tourism deserves reproach, and as an illustration, Sonia has reviled it. They could both be a little bit.
Only if you read several Kosovo portals last month do you see there is a tendency to stress an anti-Kosovo spirit, which they think is in Albania and then goes until the call to boycott Albania's coast.
The latest case with the speculation of Kosovo buses in Durres is banal, but reflects the desire to illustrate the attack scenarios, even with the dose of racism.
Resting in Albania is not a miracle, and above all, should never be a patriotism. I rest regularly in Albania, but not for patriotism. I stopped thinking here I found the kind of tourism that relaxes me, combining the sea with the mountain and travel. Beaches are not entirely clean, but there are beaches that are very clean and more international. The beaches of the Albanian Revolution, ranging from “The Tree of That” in Ksamil, in Cropus and Kacome, Gjipe and Karaburun to Saba, are perhaps the most wonderful of the Mediterranean. But right in the middle of the area not as elite as Golemi, you can find “Play del Esta”, a super sand beach with the same standard you can find in Florida.
Hotels are not very good, but even in less non-altering countries, they find hotels that are wonderful, from Shengjin to Saranda. In the worst place in Golem, for example, you can find a hotel like “Flooers”, which has 130 days been promoted annually by foreign tourists and who are all satisfied, an island paradise that has so hard created the Albanian investor.
Light and water are not everywhere, as there are in France or Italy, but investments at this point are matchless years ago, when there were not so many complaints. And where the state has not yet arrived, investors make great sacrifices. “Boungovile bay” in Saranda, is a resort between the city's construction and concrete quarter, but it has to buy about $400 a day for vacationers, just to preserve the standard of a resort without any shortage. And this is the only patriotic gesture for Albanian tourism, the gesture of survival without profit from investors, to make their dream come true.
The culture of tourism in Albanian hosts is often flawed, but if you start fighting, not resting, you will definitely find someone who is ready to fight with you.
The truth is that Kosovo's poor tourist is not very popular, and that should be said without gloves. This lack of preference, does not come from Kosovo, but that very few are willing to issue a room for three-four people, for only ten euros, and face a destabilising of it, after leaving. It's just nervous that it comes from the lack of profit you have from a poor tourist. They would also get nervous and if such a request came from Italian, Greek, or Hungarian.
In Albania, those who want to rest and who can rest here rest are fired. It's a sticker or not. Don't worry either about attacks on Albanian tourism or get excited by patriotic tourism. He doesn't exist except in the fairy tales of the mourners and the speeches of the dolphins.
We have a tourism boom in the last few years, that we are still at large. We're still with rooms for ten euros on average for each person, we're with beaches still at large, and possibly the poor tourist of Kosovo, Macedonia, Hungary, Ukraine, Poland and Czechia, will be here.
Poverty is still the business of our tourism and not luxury. Saranda is being filled by southern Italians, Polishs, Czechs, etc. The coast of Durres and Golem as well. Vlora is being reawakened as a destination for both the Adriatic part. It's probably the best time for Albanian tourism in years, which, even because of political crises in Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and so on, have returned from us.
We are still free, and we are still the market for the poor, for those who go to sea, perhaps for the first time, for those who want to create a family entertainment ritual in their lives that they have missed before.
Lucky for us, we don't have luxury tourism. That if we had, no more tourists from Kosovo and Macedonia, but not most of us, who have the sea at our feet, could have touched it. Enjoy poverty and enjoy Albania while it is still free and poor, such as Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Ukraine and so on. We don't ask you to become patriots, because nobody's coming to the beach for patriotism. And he shouldn't come. For patriotism they wear military clothes rather than beach clothes. When Albania gets rich, we can't help you.
This call does not apply to those who are rich, coming from Kosovo to Lalzi villas or to one million euros' villas in Saranda. They have the same amount of money to go to the coast of France or Italy. It's good for those who take bread with them, the kids in the car and want without the sea. Come enjoy being free. And if something happens to you that you don't like, or you get bored, bite your lip. There's no reason to swear to Albania, why did you miss your vacation? You don't have to be patriots to come here. It's enough for us now that you're still poor, like us. If you were a patriot, it'd be nice not to say anything, but we're not asking for it.
