Kosovo can participate in several European Union programmes. The agreement was adopted today by the European Parliament and named as support for Kosovo on the road to European integration. The Kosovo rapporteur, Ulrike Lunacek, has called on Kosovo politicians and parties to quickly form a pro-European government.
The European Parliament voted widely in favour of Kosovo's participation in several European Union programmes. The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, at the same time European Parliament President Ulrike Lunacek, has praised this vote as commitment and support for Kosovo on the path to European integration. According to Lunacek, Kosovo's participation in European Union programmes will strengthen the European perspective for Kosovo citizens and deepen relations between them and the citizens of the European Union. The agreement will allow gradual participation in several Union programmes for Kosovo, providing an opportunity to promote further links to the European Union's environmental, scientific and cultural policy. A special interest in these programmes is dedicated to studies, specialisations, as well as educational exchanges of students and Kosovo professors at universities of member states.
