Vuciq said at the meeting with Russian Parliament's upper house chairman, Federation Council Valentin Matvienko, that Kosovo was a topic of discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
“I asked if Russia could be a mediator and the Russian president's response was positive,” said Vuciq.
According to him, there is a consensus that in the event of a conflict, the format of negotiations should be expanded, noting that the actual format with the European Union as a mediator is “in order”.
“If Albanians want Americans to be mediators in the negotiations for Kosovo, then we will ask that Russia join,” said Vuciq.
Vuciq said Serbia highly appreciates Russia's support in preserving sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Political support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty by the Russian leadership is very important. For Serbia, preserving peace and stability in the Balkans has remained and remains most importantly,” said Serbia's president./Periscopi/
