The Kosovo Parliament's MP, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, has been surprised by today's court ruling at the Gjakova Foundation Court, which cleared the alleged tenentatist against her, Mikel Qupin.
The prosecution charged Qupin with agreeing with two Albanian citizens for the murder of Mimoza Kusari-Lila during July 2015. For the murder of Gjakova chairman Qupi, according to the Prosecutor, promised 300 thousand euros to two Albanian citizens, one of whom was Gramoz Sashqi.
In a Facebook post, Kusari-Lila told tonight how she had learned about her being prepared for an assassination.
“Two and a half years ago was the Kosovo Police by means of a phone call that suggested I would not leave the house from that moment because they have serious information that something heavy was being prepared against me. It was the next three months when my movements were forwarded from the immediate defense to ensure my movement. There are several interviews with grave crimes investigators and the Special Prosecutor to find out the possible reason for my request to eliminate”, she wrote on Facebook.
She added that there was a special meeting with Mikel Qupin on her unprecedented visit as mayor of the municipality at his workplace at the country's office in Biszha.
“I knew his name from the police, he had not yet been arrested in August 2015. As soon as I've seen and met people in my life, no one's trembling and scared of my presence there like Michael Quipi that day, Kusari Lila said.
She added that since his arrest and the trial held there has not been a single attempt to bring witnesses and suspects from Albania to Kosovo and “as even a statement of living spirit about who started it and why it started this story”.
Too many nights sleepless and unanswered questions about my family, my parents, my sons why Mom wanted to kill her. I didn't get a direct threat, it was the Kosovo state police that told me, they wanted to kill you. It is the Gjakova Foundation Court that freed the accused without making even the slightest effort to hear in session those who told the heavy news in July 2015. Why didn't you just bring a witness from Tropoja?
Who should bring the truth of the case? Or forget that it was life and death? My family and I don't get any answers with today's Act, we have a lot of other questions today”, she said.
