Government Allows Building of Greek Soldiers' Tomb in Albania

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania has decided on the construction of new cemeteries of Greek military men fallen in Albania during the 1940-1941 Greek-Italian war. With that decision, the Albanian government has decided to make the first move for election of disputes with Greece. The cemetery issue of Greek soldiers has been one of the mains to have placed nearly every Greek government in Greek-Albanian talks, but has triggered different reactions in Albania.
“Supporting Article 100 of the Constitution and articles 4 and 5 of the co-operation agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of Greece, for the search, exhumation, identification and burial of Greek military, fallen into Albania during the 1940-1941 Greek-based war, and for the construction of the site for them, within the territory of the Republic of Albania, ratified with the law of 25.3.2010, with the defence minister's proposal...”, reportedly in the government's decision of Albania.
