In the local elections held in Kosovo, the Serbian List has won in 10 Serb majority municipalities, as a whole, making it subject to the biggest winner instead of these elections, in terms of the number of municipalities.
Representatives of the Serbian List say this fact has created this political subject, which will not be misused in relation to other Serbian and Albanian subjects, but will exploit it to advance the life of the Serb community. But Serbian connoisseurs of political developments estimate that this result of the Serbian List is the product of an undemocratic campaign and would not have been achieved without the absolute support of official Belgrade.
Igor as deputy of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Assembly and spokesman for this political subject, tells Radio Free Europe that the dominance of the Serbian List in parliamentary elections has belonged to other Serb subjects, victory in the local elections in the 10 Serb majority municipalities, as well as achieving the goal of having municipal advisers in 7 other municipalities, where Serbs are not majority, are indications of the power of this political subject.
I can say that with the Serbian List, Serbs have won a unique political Corps that will fight for a better life of Serbs in these spaces. I can say this is the victory of the Serbian people, but also the victory, with which, in Kosovo, the wise and state policy of the Government of Serbia and President (Aleksandar) Vuciq is continuing. What we have shown to be a powerful political option does not mean that we will misuse and exploit it against anyone, but only in the interest of Serbs and other non-Albanians, in order to advance the conditions in which they live”, Sibiu said.
For the Serbian connoisseur of political developments, Randjel Nojik, the Serbian List's victory in all Serb-run municipalities, is not surprising. Speaking to Radio Free Europe, he stresses that the Serbian List has been the only subject of Serbs who have had Belgrade's full support and, according to him, has been campaigning undemocraticly.
“actually, it's also appreciated by the international community, by O The SEU and all political factors in Kosovo, that it has been a completely undemocratic process in the pre-election campaign, in which the Serb List was dominant. The largest number of Serbs in Kosovo depends on the Serbian state in many ways, and it seems to me that there is no family, which from some source is not economically linked to Serbia. Let's not talk about having even in institutions that are related to Kosovo, but also in institutions that are related to Serbia, to establish their own people and to control absolute power. So, this has been expected, although this is not democratic and it's not something that Serbs”, the Nojjic accent, would be praised with.
But could the Serbian List create political and influential power in Serbs without Belgrade's support?
As enemies say Kosovo Serbs look to Serbia and Belgrade's position on who should represent the interests of Serbia and the Serbian people, it is a fact that is appreciated by the Kosovo Serbs.
Support from Belgrade has not come in vain, but because it has been estimated that the Serbian List is what brings Serbs together in Kosovo and that it can represent, in the best manner in this space, the interests of Serbs, but also Serbia's”, Sibiu said.
But, Nojjic stresses that with the victory of the Serbian List, official Belgrade has secured the obedience of Kosovo Serbs. But, with that, according to him, the local problems of Kosovo Serbs will not be solved. How the situation will develop further, says Nojik, depends on the events that will come.
If Vuciki wants to follow the international community's demands and if he wants to fulfill all that he promised before the elections, then he needs that political power, or, support of all relevant factors in the entire space. This is for the reason to present it as the only solution and as something that has absolutely done good for Serbs in these spaces. If, however, it would reject representatives of the international community, it still needs political support, because if in Kosovo any uprisings were to erupt due to any solution, Vuciq” will be the biggest responsibility, Nojjic said.
He has added that Vuciqi, with the victory of the Serbian List, has provided a political calm for himself, regardless of how things will turn up in the future in Serbia itself, but also at the level of reports between Kosovo and Serbia.
