At one time, within the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) there have been signature efforts and collections from a part of delegates for calling for an extraordinary Assembly that would vote for the dismissal of President Lumir Abdixhiku.
All of this comes after the current president's poor results in the last elections, where the LDK is having a growing impasse in the number of votes.
In fact, on the basis of statistics where Periscope published an article days ago, it turns out Obadiah is the mayor with the least of the votes within the party in LDK's history.

Even after all this discontent within the party, on July 9, 2026, Lumir Abdixhiku confirmed he does not plan his resignation.
The clashes include senior party figures, where they have even expressed public attitudes about it.
This is not the first time Obadiah has faced the same situation. Early in 2026, he had survived a vote of confidence and was confirmed at the party's helm. This time, however, the situation is markedly different because of increasing dissatisfaction with it. /Periscope.
