CNN: American attacks increasing, US is hitting deeper inside Iran

American attacks are increasing in numbers and are now reaching beyond coastal areas bordering the Strait of Hormuz, according to reports of explosions in Iranian media, signalling the intensifying of this wave of attacks, CNN writes.
During the night, most of the American bombings remained focused on areas along Iran's southern coast, but an attack hit a military object in Naïin, central Iran, killing one person and wounding seven others, the province's deputy governor of state news agency Islamublic said. News Agency (IRNA).
There were also more attacks during this weekend -- US Central Command (CENTCOM) -- said it struck 140 targets during Saturday night, compared to 90 during Wednesday night and 80 on Tuesday evening. As far as last night, CENTCOM did not specify the exact number, saying only that the US struck “0 targets in several locations”.
At least one of these attacks hit civilian infrastructure. An attack hit a water pumping station in Mahsar County on the southern coast, killing the security guard of the facility and injuring four other people, according to Iranian state broadcaster IRIB.
Geolocked and verified images by CNN also showed a hangar of Iranian planes at an airport in the southwest town of Omidiyeh, involved in flames. Even a telecommunications tower near the village of Taherouy in Siric County was hit, the IRIB said.
This recent wave of attacks confirms that the ceasefire between the US and Iran is practically destroyed, while Tehran says it is responding to US attacks with its attacks against US bases in the region.
However, an analyst, retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Cedric Leighton, described yesterday this final phase of the war as <x0... a series of attacks and counterattacks, a blow of counterattack, essentially designed to keep the situation at a tense level... but not to let it out of control”
