Phone trumpet with Zeleksyn and Putin before NATO Summit

US President Donald Trump has held separate telephone conversations with Russia's President Vladimir Putin, and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, with the main focus of recent developments in the war in Ukraine and possibilities for achieving a diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
By Foreign media outletsThe calls were held just a few days before the NATO summit, which will be held on 7 July and 8 July in Ankara. The alliance meeting is expected to be dominated by security issues, war in Ukraine and the overall geopolitical situation, Periscopi broadcast.
According to the announcement published by the Kremlin, phone conversations between Trump and Putin have lasted about 85 minutes, during which the two leaders have discussed possible roads towards the end of the war in Ukraine, while part of the conversation has been the latest developments in Iran and the Middle East.
Russian authorities have indicated that President Putin has informed the US counterpart of the situation on the front line, claiming Russian forces are continuing to mark progress in some areas of Ukraine.
At the same time, the Russian leader has reiterated that Moscow remains ready for a diplomatic solution to the conflict, but has stressed that any possible agreement must rely on the principles and conditions Russia has long made public.
After his conversation with Putin, the American president also made a phone call with Ukrainian counterpart Voldymyr Zelensky. According to reports, the situation in Ukraine was discussed and further co-ordination with international partners on the eve of the NATO summit.
Trump's phone talks with the two leaders come at a sensitive diplomatic moment, while the international community is looking for ways to reduce tensions and find a solution that would end the war, which lasts for more than four years.
