Northern Macedonia: In the last 24 hours, 17 open - air fires have been recorded

The Centre for Crisis Management in Northern Macedonia has announced that in the past 24 hours, 17 fires on the country's territory have been recorded on open surfaces, out of which one has been brought under control, while 16 have been completely extinguished.
According to the announcement, the fire in the Makedonski Brod municipality in the Belica village area, where a pine forest and low vegetation were involved, is under control.
Fires have died out in the Gjerce Petrov municipality near the village of Kucko, in Veles near the village of Crkvino, in Negotina near the village of Crvenni Bregov and in Bogdanci near the village of Stojakov, where mostly low and degraded vegetation was burned, broadcasts albinfo.ch.
Fires have also died out in Strumica near the village of Dobreci, in Bosillova near the village of Bosillova, as well as in the Vasileva municipality, in the segment between the villages of Canaklija and Gecherlija, where a low storage and vegetation were involved.
QMK reports that fires at the “monastery Shan Joachim Osogovski” in Kriva Pallanca, near the village of Karevic of Prilep, in the village of Nov Karaorman in the Karbinci municipality, as well as in the Bab's settlement near the municipality of the Mirjana Church, have also been located and extinguished.
Among the dead are the fires in Berova near the village of Smojmirovo, at Boutel on the route of Luboten, in Kumanovo on the road “November”, in the Brvenica municipality near Miletino village and in the Krivogastan municipality near the village of Vodjani, where a warehouse and low vegetation were burned.
The Crisis Management Centre stresses that the fire situation is constantly monitored and appeals to citizens to be cautious in open spaces with the aim of preventing new fires.
