Germany's ambassador, elder, protesters in Tirana: Violence Not Consistent With EU Values

Germany's ambassador, Carl Berger, attended the memorial ceremony in Borovo, where victims of the July 6, 1943 massacre were remembered. Asked about protests in Albania, the ambassador said that any civil society activity in line with EU values is welcome. He stressed that violent protests are not consistent with those values.
“Any civil society activity conducted in line with European Union values is welcome. Violent protests are not in harmony with these values. Those responsible for acts of violence are still issues to be clarified”, Berger said.
