JKKO appeal leaves former President Ilir Meta in prison

The Special Appeal against Corruption and Organised Crime has dropped another request submitted by Ilir Meta for changing the security measure.
With the decision given, as it writes Euronews, the court has put in place the “prison arrest” against the former president of Albania, refusing to accept arguments presented by his defence.
Meta had called for replacing the security measure with a softer measure, but the JKKO Appeal estimated that the conditions that led to the appointment of “prison arrest” continue to stay.
