Ignoring US gas calls from the incumbent government, Oda reacts

The American Economic Oda in Kosovo has expressed its serious concern, as she says, over the government's lack of consideration in office of repeated calls by the United States of America for Kosovo's involvement in infrastructure and regional natural-lused gas supply network (LNG).
Through a public response, Oda American estimated that access to liquid American gas constitutes not only an energy potential but also a strategic choice for Kosovo, at a time when the country remains dependent on the old power generation capacities, high electricity imports and an increasingly unstable regional market.
According to the American House, diversification of energy sources, increased supply security and strengthening economic competitiveness should remain among Kosovo's top priorities.
In response, it notes that all other Western Balkan states have already expressed readiness to become part of the LNG regional infrastructure, which is being developed with strong support from the United States.

The American Oda estimates that Kosovo's strategic partnership with the United States of America remains one of the country's most important national assets. The continued disregard for the positions and strategic priorities of Kosovo's closest ally carries the risk of impact on the quality and depth of this partnership over the passage of”, said in response.
The American Economic Oda called on Kosovo institutions to reevaluate long-term strategic, economic and geopolitical implications of non-angagement in regional initiatives for ING and to engage constructively with the United States on this issue.
