Albanian escapes from Brindis prison, seized after hours of prosecution

A 23-year-old Albanian arrested has made spectacular escapes from the early morning hours of the British Prison in Italy.
He escaped surveillance by guard officers and crossed the institution's wall and fence, temporarily losing track.
After several hours of tracking, tracking, and tracking, he was caught in the region of Latiano, where he lived before he was arrested for several crimes.
That was also the mistake of betraying him, for the police, one of the first places he searched, was the very area and residence in which he lived.
The news, published by SAPEP, has been confirmed by law enforcement forces. According to the union, when the corridors were opened, the prisoner managed to jump onto the wall, reach the fence, climb the fence, and escape to the surrounding wall. “This,” explained SAPEP, “would have been possible because the duty officer this morning, in addition to monitoring the corridors, was forced to manage several fuel stations, including a small section that sheltered prisoners under strict supervision”.
In recent days, SAPPE had denounced “the serious lack of personnel to the Brindisi prison, which, with 120 officers on paper (from which approximately 50 manage the prisoners), should oversee nearly 270 people instead of 150 available”, they said. The union will file a complaint in the judiciary about lack of personnel.
The 23-year-old Albanian prisoner who escaped this morning from prison in the Messapian capital was found in Latiano, in the province of Brindisi, and was arrested. Law enforcement continued the search in an area between Litiano and Meshagne, the town where Albanian lived prior to his arrest several months ago, following an arrest warrant serving the sentence for possession of drugs and resistance to arrest, Italian media informed. The man's escape was stopped by police station officers at Mesagne and prison police in Latiano, where his girlfriend lives. Carabinieri also took part in the search.
