On this date the EU-Western Balkans summit meets, invitations to leaders have been sent to March Haxhiu represents Kosovo

The annual summit between the European Union and the Western Balkans will be held 5 June in Tivat, Montenegro.
It is the most important political event where the 27 leaders of EU member states gather and six from the region.
On the eve of preparations for the summit, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen has held a conversation with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, who had boycotted the last summit held in December 2025.
According to spokeswoman Paola Pinho, the June meeting was the focus of talks with the Serbian leader, but it did not confirm whether Vuciq has promised to participate in the upcoming summit.
I would not rule out the possibility of President Von der Leyen talking with other Western Balkan leaders on the eve of the” summit, Paola Pinho said.
Turnout invitations have already been sent to all regional leaders. European Union officials have confirmed that Kosovo at this event will represent President Albulen Haxhiu's post.
Summits with the Western Balkans are held once a year, and every second time they are organised into a state of the region. It is this main political platform for strategic dialogue between the European Union and the region, with the focus on enlargement, security, economic co-operation and political stability of the Western Balkans.
