Why didn't Neymar play? Anceplott's Answers

Brazil secured the qualifications in the 1/8th phase of the World Cup final after defeating Japan by 2-1 thanks to a goal scored in the last seconds of the match, held in “ --rousHton Stadium”.
Despite being in the reserve bank, Neymar Junior was not activated at any moment, while Coach Carlo Anceplott explained the reasons for the decision.
According to the Italian technonic, the original plan was for the Brazilian attacker to get into play only if Brazil did not even the outcome.
“Neymarin did not activate because I was waiting for the following. I talked to him and I told him that if we didn't even the score, he'd come in about 60 or 65 minutes. I didn't want to change the structure of the team because we had control of the” match, Anceplotti declared after the end of the meeting.
With this victory, Brazil has secured the transition to 1/8 of the final, where it will face the winner of the match between Côte d'Ivoire and Norway.
