I saw death with my eyes”, Petrit Kllokoqi's confession after climbing to Everest: We lost three people during the expedition

Evenrest, the world's highest peak at an altitude of 848m, has been violated by Kosovo Albanian Petrit Kllokoqi, entrepreneur and chairman of the Kosovo Gastronomous Association, which this Tuesday, May 19th, was in a direct connection by Everest, for the “Rudina” show on TV Klan.
In direct connection from Everest Base Camp, he described this 45-day experience as one of the most memorable of his life, including the fact that this expedition is considered one of the most dangerous, as people who undertake it could lose their lives along the way.
“Everest is a huge risk because every year 1030 people lose their lives during the expedition. Unfortunately, three people from our group lost their lives during this expedition, since glaciers collapsed and is very dangerous. One was 24-year-old and was not connected. I hope we don't lose our lives because it's too heavy, because you're going to go through dead bodies that are frozen and left out there, because it doesn't get through the helicopter to pull the bodies. ”
Klokoqi saw the climb to the highest top of the world as a gift to the Albanian nation, to bring the flag to the highest point on Earth.
I'm going for the flag, but when I got to very heavy points, to be honest, I looked at my daughter on the phone and I said why I was doing this, but when I looked at the flag on the other side, which I held on my chest and heard patriotic songs, I didn't want to give up to the top. ”
He said that this was the most difficult challenge he had in life because he felt you should be physically prepared and much more mentally prepared.
What you learn from these expeditions is that when you get back to your country, you know the value of oxygen, because I'm actually 40-45% lower oxygen than there, and at the highest point oxygen is 80% lower. You understand the value of life, as more than seven thousand meters into the death zone, where we had to use oxygen masks. ”
He mentioned that for the rise in Everest, it had to be a preparation phase that involved climbing mountains in Albania, Kosovo, Europe and Africa, Kilimanjaro.
I had to quit smoking for a year and quit in 60 days. I've had to take care of my family to prepare psychicly because it's a load for my family. Climbing to Everest doesn't start when it comes to Nepal, but it starts in the family. ”
Earlier, Petrit Kllokoqi has also realised the climb to Mont Blanc, one of Europe's highest and most popular peaks. Through this experience, he witnessed his passion for alpinism and extreme adventures as the climb to Everest came as another important and climaxing step on his journey to the world's most famous peaks. / TCH
