NATO tells why Kosovo was not invited to the Ankara Summit: We allow regional security to be endangered

Kosovo's unwillingness to participate in the NATO Summit, to be held in Ankara, Turkey, has sparked a lot of domestic debate in Kosovo. That was after Kosovo was invited and represented by Vjosa Osmani, then president, in the summit in Washington.
Osman himself had at that time described the invitation as historic, however, as clarifying that he had not attended the summit's main meeting, since only NATO member states meet there.
The Kosovo government has argued for this failure, saying NATO does not invite non-member states to Samite. The defence ministry has said that even in previous cases, Kosovo has only been invited to specific activities in NATO Summit margins.
But what do they say from NATO on this issue? A North Atlantic Alliance official has told Gazeta Express that the main topics of the summit to be held in Ankara are related to defence investments, industrial protection products and support for Ukraine, Periscopi broadcasts.
From NATO they have shown who will be participants in Sam, including Alliance partners who are also leaders in the defence industry.
The “Program will include a meeting of 32 heads of the United States and NATO Governments, as well as commitments with some of our partners, including from Ukraine, the European Union, Indo-Peacekeeping and Istanbul Co-operation Initiative. We will also organise the NATO Summit Forum for Defence Industry, which will include industry leaders from all over the Alliance”, this NATO official has said.
As for the Western Balkan region, this official of NATO has said it continues to remain high in the Alliance's agenda and that it is a region of strategic importance.
From NATO, they have said commitment to this region is steadfast and will not allow any vacuum in terms of security.
The Western Balkans remain high on NATO's agenda. It is a region of strategic importance to the Alliance. Our commitment to the stability of the region is steadfast and will not allow a security vacuum to be created. KFOR continues to play a strategic role in security in Kosovo, under a long UN mandate; and we continue to work closely with our international partners, especially with the EU. NATO also continues to support EU-led Operation Althea through the Berlin Plus Accords. We do all of this to ensure that peace in the region is protected, because the security of the Western Balkans is vital to us as well, and we will not allow it to be endangered”, this NATO official has concluded.
