China's Xi hosts Putin several days after Trump's visit

Less than a week after US President Donald Trum['s visit to China, it is now Russian President Vladimir Putin who is going to Beijing.
Russia has high expectations for Putin's trip to China this week, with the Kremlin saying the two sides will use the visit to further develop their privileged <x0-partnership”, writes Euronews, broadcast Periscope.
While Moscow has officially said that the visit will focus on strengthening “strategic partnership” between Russia and China, time shows a broader geopolitical agenda and China's growing diplomatic influence.
Trump visited Beijing less than a week ago, but despite high expectations, the trip was widely seen as disappointing. There was no significant progress in trade, Ukraine or conflict with Iran.
It is expected that the same issues will be the focus on Putin's talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
