CEC completes voting application review abroad, an estimated 132,000 voters from the diaspora approved

The Central Election Commission has completed the process of reviewing voter registration applications outside Kosovo for early parliamentary elections.
In general, 131,800 voters abroad have been approved from 142,803 applicants.
According to data released by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, the largest number of registered citizens have chosen voting through mail, while thousands more will vote physically in Kosovo's diplomatic representations.
Elez has announced that the process of reviewing the requirements for voting outside Kosovo in early elections for the Kosovo Assembly has closed Monday evening, 18 May.
“From 142,803 accepted census requests, following their review, 131800 have been approved, while another 10,907 have been rejected and 96 have been cancelled”, Elesi reported.
Furthermore, it has shown that the largest number of voters are registered for voting via mail.
The most elected way to vote is to vote via mail. Out of 131,800 approved applications, 100,522 citizens are registered to send the package with paper to the mailbox outside Kosovo, another 3,502 to send the ballot package to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo, and 27,776 are registered to vote physically in either of its own diplomatic representatives”, Elesi indicated.
The postal vote will begin on May 25th and end on June 6th, meanwhile, a day before Election Day in Kosovo, on June 6th the vote on diplomatic representation is organised.
