“RTK and KPM boards members chosen in compromised processes”

“We express our disappointment with the ruling party's decision, the Vetevendosje Movement, the selection of members of the Kosovo Radio Television and Independent Commission for Media board in a clearly documented process as compromised”.

“The candidates of the two leading bodies of these institutions have been selected in hasty processes, without transparency and disorderly procedures, which have been unable to apply the principle of meritocracy”.

“Processes have failed for the following reasons: insisting on Vetevendosje Movement deputies that this process be completed within a short term and insufficient time available, disorderly organisation as a consequence of time pressure, violating equal treatment of candidates, vague and non-transparent methodology, especially with the decision that the appointment of candidates should not take place after each interview, as well as the political favour of some candidates”, is said in their response published in their response Facebook.

In response, they said they would carefully monitor the work of both boards and inform the public of their actions.
