The Vetevendosje movement has formally proposed Glauk Konjufca's name for president Wednesday, leading the process to a crucial phase before the constitutional deadline expired.
On the other hand, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Democratic Party of Kosovo have declared they will not vote on any candidate without a broad political agreement among parliamentary parties.
The LVV has stressed that it is ready for democratic competition in the Assembly and has asked the LDK and the PDK to propose a name in order to create conditions for calling the session and holding the president's vote.
Regarding recent political developments in Kosovo, the former Kosovo President Behgjet Pacolli has spoken of “Front Online”.
Pacolli has called on Kosovo Assembly deputies to show responsibility in the process of electing the president and to avoid sending the country to new elections.
He said he hopes that representatives of the people will be aware of the importance of the political moment.
“I hope that Kosovo Assembly deputies will be aware and not allow the country to go to the polls again. It would be wise for them to talk and elect the candidate they will vote on”, Pacolli said.
Asked whether he would like to be a candidate for president, Pacolli made it clear that he is no longer an active part of politics, adding that he has separated from this area.
No, I'm separated from politics and so it's better. Of course, my contribution will be to Kosovo in this way too”, Pacolli has declared. /Periscope/
