Kosovo and nervous about it

Whenever representatives of Albania and Kosovo play soccer, they begin to take on the surface stratifications structured in the identity or cultural formation of Albanians in the two states.

I'm referring briefly to three occasions that happened to me.

The first case was the next day of the match, Friday. As soon as I got to work and the discussions started, someone said,

He asked for some approval of the saying, and when he did not find it, he changed the subject (there were two others at the table).

It was a sincere and essentially innocent statement. That person had nothing to do with Kosovo. There are also Albanians, but the other “ ”. Like underAlbanians. Get them stronger than us? That's not patient.

The other two cases were public response to my Facebook status.

In one, I wrote about Albania's inferiority to the opponent and closed it with the words:

A commentator, known to me, answers to the flame:

Kosovo is a widespread concept in some citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, and protected by pathos by them in public debates. According to this concept Kosovo has its own state, its culture, its sport and many other aspects of its identity.

For these people, the interests of the state of Kosovo are central even to the interests of the state of Albania.

To these people and their concepts, there is a nervous reaction from the rest of Albanians around the world, but especially in Albania. The apostles of my “state say it's” they call it a ridiculous revolt, an empty pride, “false identity” or, until even a “package” Kosovo.

Their successes in culture, the famous names of music, cinematography, the sport are the property of the nation (undertract Albania, this century-old mother of Macedonia), while the shortcomings are “the working of a cososvar at”.

“The owners of the nation” are the citizens of Albania, others are tenants who should want their first “ “country of the former” (undertook owners). They should even love him more than their owners do! They have been given the name “Albanian”, so the same as the owners without even being tenants.

So they should be grateful. Not having their own homes, not having cultural, sports, political identities. “The maximum is a color in the Albanian identity spectrum. And the Kosovars should be honored to be that. They have to come to Albania's “MEDICH”, come to the “Commerial” Song, Literature, Judos, ice hockey or golf festival. When they do things on their own, when they have international successes, when they beat the “the” are a bit ungrateful and sectarian.

Yeah, I'm cosovocent. The reasons are very complex, they are based on my origin, my formation as children and the everyday ties I have had with Kosovo citizens.

But above all, the main reason is that Kosovo needs state identity now.

This is a topic that I'd last a lot and there's not much time for anyone to read. But everyone needs to have his own identity with which he feels best. Neither your mother nor your father gives you identity, nor your place of birth, and you grow up. They sure give you aspects of identity, but what I call identity is much broader.

Identity is the whole range of traces left in one person by life experiences. The identity is the union I have with a certain community in emotional, cultural, literary, political sports. The more I add identifying elements to the smaller the community where I feel myself part.

But if I have to choose between an identity match whose elements are more inside me, I will choose Kosovo's identity. So yes, I'm cosovocentic.
