Six arrested for illegal coal extraction in Vushtrri

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica has announced that in the Vushtrri municipality, specifically in the villages of Bivolak, Zilioda and Stroc, an action has been held with the Kosovo Police following suspicion that illegal coal was being issued in these locations. According to the announcement, six people have been arrested during this action, as well as excavators and trucks seized.
The Foundation Procuror in Mitrovica announces the public opinion that, in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, action has been carried out in the villages of Bivolak, Zilioda and Stroc of the municipality of Vushtrria, due to allegations of illegal coal extraction at these locations. During the action, six (6) people who will be interviewed by police have been arrested. Also seized were three (3) excavers, six (6) trucks, and a (1) tractor, suspected of being used for the commission of criminal acts”, the Mitrovica Foundation Prosecutor's Prosecution reported.
The case has been initiated as a criminal offence “Nundation, degradation or destruction of the environment” and “Cause of total danger.
