BBC: Once again, Iran is playing surprisingly well with the Strait of Hormuz

Although apparently inferior to the US in a military way, Iran is managing to secure some strategic advantage over its opponent, the BBC writes.
He's doing this by turning Hormuz Strait into a dangerous crossing place unless the ships adhere to the new regulations imposed by him and sail along the northern route, where they will be subjected to inspection and may be forced to pay a fee.
At the same time, Iran is causing terrible blows to Arab allies of America in the region because they house US military bases. Iran seems to be free of fear and missile use against them.
A new US naval blockade will damage the Iranian economy, which is already facing difficulties.
But Iran knows that a paralyzed strait will affect the rest of the world, causing rising oil prices as well as affecting Donald Trump's political fate in the medium-term elections, held less than four months later.
