CEC allocates 156 thousand euros for Serbian List, votes Vetevendosje

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) today approved the allocation of financial means for supporting political subjects represented in the Kosovo Assembly.
A total of two million and 83 thousand euros were earmarked for all parliamentary political subjects, including 156 thousand euros for the Serbian List, which the ruling party, the Vetevendosje Movement, attempted to prevent him from participating in the election.
According to a CEC media report, the decision on sharing of tools was taken at an electronic meeting Tuesday.
The decision has been adopted with the voter turnout of all representatives of political subjects in the CEC.
At this meeting, the CEC made a decision to separate financial means from the fund for support of political subjects represented in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly for July 9th 31st, December 2026”, Paparaci reports.
After the Kosovo Assembly's constitutionalisation, 10% of the funding for supporting the work of MPs will be split with the CEC's special decision.
Under the Law for Finalisation of Political Subjects, the tools from the Fund are divided among the political subjects represented in the Assembly under the number of seats.
Therefore, mostly tools from this fund have benefited the Vetevendosje Movement 850 thousand euros, followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 381 thousand euros.
