The first attack on the Jashar family had taken place on 30 December 1991, while the second attack by Serb paramilitary forces was carried out in January 1998.
On January 22nd, Serbian forces attacked the Jashar family, but even this battle, the children and women of the Jashar family resisted. However, in this nearly 30 - minute battle, Iliriana, daughter of Rifat Jashar and Selvetta, daughter of Hamza Yasar remain injured. After this attack, friends of the Yashhar family came to him, friends of the nation to solidify them.
They asked family head Jashar to draw women and children from there. But even women and children had made the decision to stay, saying that “if the boys are killed, we don't feel like living”.
And decided to stay, stayed to show the world that Albanians don't go anywhere beyond their land and houses.
The Jashar family story and its exhibits are located at the Kosovo Liberation Army Age Museum.
