President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, and her husband, Jared Kouchner, have arrived this Wednesday in the coastal town.

It is learned that the Trump-Kenner couple's visit is directly linked to strategic investments in Albania's tourism sector.

They will hold a meeting with architectural studios to discuss the way tourism projects are realised on the island of Saban and in Zvrinec.

Over 60 architectural, domestic and international studios are invited to participate in these projects, which will present high-standard development ideas and concepts, turning Albania's south into a destination of luxury tourism.

The American president's ambassador has received strategic investor status last year, following the presentation of his tourist project on the island of Saban, with a surface of 562 hectares, which has only been used as military bases.

The investment value is projected to be 1.4 billion euros. The project envisions the tourist “marine, elite accommodation facility, high standard residence, gastronomic areas and desert areas with their operating services”.
