Action in Vushtrri é sequentine five cars imported from South Korea

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica has announced a search warrant in several locations concerning the counterfeiting of documents for the import and distribution of cars from South Korea, adding that five cars have been seized.
The event has been held in co-operation with Kosovo Customs and the Kosovo Police under a criminal investigation that is under way, where it has conducted control at the defendant's home in Vushtrri.
According to controversial allegations, by the date of 06.07.26, defendants have used counterfeit documents ʹ Korean autobooks by manipulating the data related to the date of the first vehicle registration, namely, the corresponding year of registration from 2015 to 2016, so that vehicles could be presented as no older than ten (10) years and thus allow their import in the Republic of Kosovo, contrary to Article 44th of the Law. 05L-123 for Automedia, said among other things in the communiqué.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica announces the public opinion that today, in co-operation with the Kosovo Customs and the Kosovo Police, the Unit for Investigation of Auto Crimes Mitrovica-South, in the framework of a criminal investigation that is under way, has carried out control in the home of defendants in Vushtrri, with the aim of finding and securing relevant material evidence for criminal procedure.
The investigative actions have been taken within the investigation into the suspicion that the defendants, deliberately, in co-ordination and consistently, have forged and used forged public documents during the import and distribution procedure of vehicles.
According to controversial allegations, dated 06.07.2026, defendants have used counterfeit documents ʹ Korean automotives by manipulating data related to the date of the first vehicle registration, namely, in relevant documents the first year of registration from 2015 to 2016, so that vehicles can be presented as not older than ten (10) and thus allow their import in the Republic of Kosovo, contrary to Article 44, paragraph 2 of the Law. 05L-123 to Automake.
Suspected documents as counterfeits were allegedly used during the importation and distribution procedure of five (5) vehicles, with decouples for each vehicle issued the Unicon Customs Declaration (DUD), in which it was incorrectly calculated that the first registration of vehicles was made during 2016, although the evidence provided so far turns out that their first census was conducted during 2015. (5) cars whose documents are allegedly forged have been seized.
In this case, there is doubt that defendants, in co-ordination and ongoing, committed criminal work “The counterfeiting of documents”, from Article 390 paragraph 2 concerning paragraph 31 and Article 77 paragraph 1 subparagraphers 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica, in co-ordination with the Kosovo Customs and the Kosovo Police, will continue the enterprise of all necessary investigative actions aimed at fully lighting the circumstances of this case and providing evidence, in line with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
