Customs seizes undeclared goods in Vmica, worth about 80,000 euros

Kosovo customs has prevented a case of the attempt to smuggle goods into the Vmica Border Cross during routine controls of vehicles at the entrance of Kosovo.
Customs reports the case has been uncovered when a customs official has selected a vehicle with foreign license plates for detailed control.
During the physical search of the vehicle's luggage, it has been found that goods were not declared near the customs authorities. According to the Customs Rating Sector preliminary assessment, the value of undeclared goods is around 8,000 euros”.
Thanks to the vigilance and professionalism of customs officials, illegal introduction of goods on the customs territory of the Republic of Kosovo has been prevented. Such actions violate fair competition, damage the local economy and avoid fiscal obligations defined with the legislation in force”, notes among other things in Dogan's announcement.
