Criticised, but Netanyahu agrees to join Trump Peace Board

Netanyahu confirmed that he would join the newly established Peace Board, which, according to the Trump Administration, will oversee the next phase of the Gaza peace plan.

The Israeli prime minister's announcement comes after he initially rejected Trump's proposal, following the involvement of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Qatar diplomat Ali Al-Thawadi as appointed members in a “Executive Board of Gaza”.

Netanyah's office said the move was not co-ordinated with Israel, and “is contrary to its” policy.
