Agron Shehaaj sentenced by Special Court Against Corruption and Organised Crime

Under the court's ruling, Sheday has been found guilty and has been obliged to pay a fine of 3 million old dollars, which includes the expenses of the judicial process.

The court pleaded guilty to the charge of slander.

The case began after a lawsuit filed by the Adriatic Lapaj, who accused Shehuj of slander, about public statements allegedly linked Lapit to the crime world exhibits.

In his statements, Agron Shehaaj had charged Lapiaj with profiting 45 million money from the company “Merkaj 3 shpk”, seized by the SPAK, since it was suspected that it was used for money laundering of a criminal group known as “Copjat”.

For his part, the Adriatic Lapiaj has denied the accusations, claiming it has not received any amount of money and that the sums mentioned are related to alleged legal services as a lawyer to the company in question.

The court, after reviewing the case, decided Shehuj's conviction for contempt, thus closing the court process to the first degree.
