It says: Ben Bluesi
The Balkans have only parliamentary republics, but they are not all the same.
Serbia is a Military Republic.
It constantly requires conflict.
Serbia once was a peasant Republic, and that is one of the reasons Serbs were not converted to Islam.
During Ottoman occupation, most of the Serbian villagers were leading swine breeders in Europe, and if they were converted they had to quit their jobs because the Koran forbids pork.
I don't know Serbian, but I believe that this people have less reason than any people to curse other people or pig, because they've won a lot from this beloved animal.
Meanwhile, Kosovo is a Romantic Republic.
It still does not have an economic goal, but it has only national goals.
She needs to exist.
She still lives with the stress of losing her territory, and this prevents her from focusing on her limited commercial goals.
Turkey is almost a Religious Republic.
Religion has held together all those peoples that make up Turkey, and today it protects the Turkish Republic, which has been several times on the brink of a cliff but has always survived by hanging the flag on the top of the minaret.
Greece, in turn, is a Marine Republic.
Perhaps the largest on the planet because today there are about 25 percent of the world's goods and its great fleet, the only practical art left of its antiquity when all of Greece was divided into several small republics.
And Croatia is a German Republic.
The Ustashes who were Hitler's puppets in the Balkans forced her away from her liberal Venetian tradition by forcing her to pursue the strong German discipline that the Trade Republic could never build but instead kills them as many as it can.
If there was a conflict in Europe tomorrow, in any case Croatia would line up with Germany, and the sleepy Ustashes would pull up arms against neighbours, Roma and Jews who once destroyed them violently.
Montenegro is a Tourist Republic, but being very small, cannot possibly play a major role in the region.
This Republic at sea is all the time threatened between the pro-Western and the proland currents, so being a small boat sways easily and can suddenly sink.
Meanwhile, Macedonia is a Plastic Republic.
Found between Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Serbia, it resembles a sandwich that always takes the form of bread around it.
Because of the pressure that comes from abroad, Macedonia occasionally changes its name, then the constitution, and it is not odd in the future to leave territories if it is demanded by force.
If Albania didn't behave like a trade Republic that doesn't care much about what happens next, it could easily light up 30 percent of Macedonia's inhabitants to change the map to this plastic state.
What kind of republic are we?
Some time ago I wrote that in recent years Albania is taking the form of a Trade Republic which is not bad, even very good.
The more I read stories, the more I believe that this is our destination since Rome's ships came to our shores to supply.
Ahmet Zogu was the first to realise that Albania could function as a Trade Republic.
King Zog probably didn't know what he was doing, but his need to get out of the Balkans and the Orient, and to be directed by the sea was apparent persistent and intentional.
The bird opened the country for the Jews, removed the slices, strengthened the currency, took up the best Italian architects of the time, created a skilled trade register, opened the market, built the bank, gave up land for investments and gave many concessions to foreigners.
The money and energy that Zogu spent on splendor, fame, photography, glamour marriage, clothing, and cars, the need to catch news in the international press, more than an eye - catching obsession, was a way to make him more attractive to the naive design of the Trade Republic that he had on his head without being able to formulate.
If Albania's anemic economy had helped him and World War II did not bring us communism as a reward for 500 years of setback, perhaps Zogu would have built Albania's Trade Republic 100 years ago.
Had there been more time, Ahmet Zogu would have rendered a great service to the country by corrupting the Communist Party as they did before and after it all countries of the West with semi-democratic methods.
But in 1939, Europe killed Ahmet Zogu's Trade Republic and seized it by army.
European soldiers killed our First Trade Republic in the cradle, we've just entered the second.
But what is the Trade Republic?
The main goal of a Trade Republic is to shine, as sometimes it seems to think more about foreigners than about locals.
The Trade Republic wants to be a full-time luxury virine, an avangard in cultural construction and organization, in wonderful summits, tolerant of all races, with all nations, especially all religions, a humb, a free zone for painters, artists, architects, for startups, a place filled with festivals and concerts at every season, seducers of those who do trends in international markets, who visit it often from sea and from air, looking for land for themselves, business or business.
But to be the Trade Republic, you have to fulfill a condition.
You must have seas.
However, not all who have the sea can become the Trade Republic.
Lebanon has been a Trade Republic, but Israel has the same way Lebanon has been, and it will never be a Trade Republic.
Saudi Arabia has more sea than Dubai, but it will never be a Trade Republic because it has a deeply productive profile.
It produces oil and has no class.
Dubai produces almost nothing.
It only serves, hosts low tax investors, builds introspectives, guarantees savings, doesn't ask where you earn money, sells luxury, memorable holidays, and fantastic business, art and sports contacts.
The Trade Republic bases economic development on trade and not production, so they hold a strong currency because its merchants want to buy cheaply abroad, goods they sell to foreigners who come over and visit their Republic.
The Trade Republic holds taxes lower than all its neighbors to take their money.
Trade Republics have no religion.
They are no longer a European product, nor are they Christians as they once were.
They can be Asian like Singapore, they can be Latin like Panama, they can be Muslim like Lebanon and Dubai, so they can be Balkans like Albania.
Trade Republics are not conditioned by regime form.
Hong Kong is part of an undemocratic country like China.
Dubai is a monarch and is not a republic at all.
There people don't vote for those who rule.
So democracy is not necessarily a condition for a Trade Republic, but otherwise security is the vital condition.
By listing these elements, we seem to talk a little bit about Albania.
Albania almost doesn't produce and taxes are not very high.
It just builds, cooks, buys and sells.
Along with concrete, history, sun, water, mountains, and dishes is its greatest wealth.
Albania today has the strongest currency in history, perhaps from the time of the Kingdom 100 years ago, which favours traders buying, more than the producers they sell, and that policy seems deliberate.
Albania is investing a lot in tourism, transportation and is a very open country for foreign tourists, manual workers or businessmen from all parts of the world.
Albania builds a lot, possibly more than anyone in Europe, and takes into account the size and population it is perceived to build for foreigners who can come tomorrow.
On the other hand, it is quickly leaving conflicts with its neighbors, even to the point that it seems that the interests of Albanians living in other countries are being ignored in behalf of their commercial interests.
The open Balkans are an illustration.
Although Kosovo was furious that the open Balkans hurt its interests, Albania again did not back down and signed along with Serbia and Macedonia to open the borders and reduce the flow of goods, a typical gesture of a trade republic that taxes less flour and more blood because the first is sold, and the second is not.
Today, a Dubai businessman for Albania has more significance than the entire Serbian government.
A tourist bus from England has more weight than any lunatic in Bosnia.
A group of Chinese people in Tirana cafes brings more revenue than a city from Kosovo and what Bulgaria thinks about Albania's integration does no more, unlike 30 years ago, when a Bulgarian costumed visit was a national event celebrated on boulevard.
Now Albania's Trade Republic sees only its pockets.
It is an aggressively selfish Republic and thus must continue to be.
The recent conflict with Greece was also a conflict of a commercial republic that disputes with another Trade Republic.
The quarrel over Himara's Together took place, not because of nationalist causes, but for economic, commercial reasons.
Albania could not accept that the permit for hotels, for beaches and herzlons was defined by a rival Marine Republic and is correct.
If Himara had been in Malakaster or Debar, no conflict would have happened with Greece.
Therefore, Albania acted, not as a Nationalist Republic, but as a Trade Republic.
It strongly defended, with police and court its sea - in a sense, its economy by going along with the principle that, the rheison déetat - the state's right - prepares on human rights.
But if Albania's Trade Republic has a risk it comes from Europe.
Europe is always against the Trade Republics.
France, Napoleon, first destroyed the wonderful trade Republic of Venice. Italy then joined together by collecting the remains of all its commercial republics, including Venice, Genoa, Pisa and Naples.
Soon Germany was united, which successfully destroyed the trade republics of Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg.
The European Union has successfully destroyed the remaining trade republics of Malta and Cyprus in recent years.
The latter received all his savings over $100000 in one night, which is one of the most cruel financial acts in modern history.
And to think he did this with the claim that he would save Cyprus from bankruptcy.
It was, of course, a lie forged by the greedy German hatred prevents excessive financial freedoms.
The real goal was to eliminate the economic model of Cyprus whose banks collected money from around the world without asking what passports you have.
We've just started negotiating with Europe and its main request is extreme formalisation, strict market control, banks and revenues.
It is easier for Albanian immigrants to take their savings to Taiwan than to bring them to Albania.
Europe doesn't allow them because she thinks banks are the safe, the key she always has.
But when we finish negotiations, for five years, sure is that Europe will not be what it is today.
New political forces are emerging that will seek to change this economic model by giving slightly more power to member states.
Europe will realize that its suburbs cannot behave like solid north.
Here's more sun, people dress in light clothes, and sea smell flies money out of their pockets.
Albania has been historically between East and West, and this kind of humb can function in the future like the corner, or rather as the Head of greater financial freedom.
That's why I think maybe this time we might have some luck.
We can enjoy our Trade Republic for a few years because, as old sailors say, the wind looks dark and can push our ship into calmer waters.
