SPAK launches election campaign one day with Berisha

Erion Veliaj was accompanied today at prison facilities in Tirana, at the request of the SPAK, following the prosecution of passive corruption and cleaning up the product of criminal acts. The preliminary arrest of such a high-ranking official, three-time elected of the incumbent capital, for an investigation, not about his official responsibilities, is simply involvement in the special prosecution election campaign. Justice has all its time and right to investigate and judge Tirana Mayor in freedom, if they suspect a conflict of interest in his wife's private work with Tirana City Hall. The arrest at the start of the election campaign is a disgusting political formation.

And this is hard news for the fate of the Justice Reform in Albania. Accumulated by, it seems, even political changes in the United States, voices to cut funding, and fears of a weakening political power, SPAK prosecutors are returning to their roots “fisive” of political servants, ending the illusion of a new justice, based on evidence rather than political needs.

The investigation process against Erion Veliaj has been a long-standing file of personal and family intrigues, in some cases with methods similar to in the past. The prosecutor of the BKH case and agents in that process have commissioned artists and collaborators of the foundation with personal blackmail, even in private life, digging into their phones and creating a climate of lawlessness in producing facts they needed to illustrate an accusation they had written earlier.

Today, SPAK has not entered the municipal offices to arrest Erion Veliaj, but has entered the electoral campaign together with Sali Berisha. He opened it today with a lobbyist who has a $20 million prize to show that “has never stolen in his life. ”
