From: Desada Metaj

I must admit that two hours of conversation in the podast between Lee Ypit and Arlind Quor requires more patience than attention. But, under Albania's conditions, with a clear vacuum of political thought, I concentrated on listening to and finding any spark of thought otherwise. Thoughts that can help this country get out of the void and chaos of theories. Although it is not theories that are not the main problem of Albania's situation today.

For more than half the first hour, conversationators shared thoughts about John Rawls' philosophy, a philosopher who has had a profound impact on social justice, politics and equality. In the second half of the conversation they stayed long at another centre-left revolutionary, Rosa Luxemburg, a philosopher, Marxist theoretical and Polish-German political activist. No doubt Marks did not miss their conversation.

For two philosophy professors, the discussion of classical or outdated theories and theories of the left could only be overcome if it was in the context of Albania's conditions a country that has suffered more than any other the consequences of a theory that, in practice, brought human slaughter and a total lack of freedom. That didn't happen. But taking it well that the theories can also be discussed under “laboratorial conditions”, I continued to patiently follow the conversation between Arlind Qorri and Leah Ypit to see what ideas these two Albanian left thinkers have about developments and the situation in Albania.

Even at the second hour of the conversation, after the elegant interventions of Arlind Qor to talk about the dynamic of the left in post-communist Albania, LSE professor failed to identify any thought, the less to mention Eddie Rama's name, as the man who practically runs the SP. In theories distributed in their podcast, The SP was described as a neoliberal party with no access to the traditional left, but no one talked about who was responsible for this ideological deviation. The work class, which Arlind Qori even expressed concern that in Albania it is not treated with proper respect. But for Ms. Ypi, the printing of the working class is a popular dynamic, " “and England, and in Congo the working class is being mistreated, although otherwise”," she said without saying anything concrete about the working class in Albania, which was also the principal concern of the chairman of Movement Together.

Even after Qori's harassment of the student protest a few years ago, Ypi professor did not have any opinion on the role of the government and Edi Rama. Although, its view is theory, free education and health are something that people in the world deserve. The conversation became somewhat more interesting for the now famous book “Free,” which, according to the author, has not been well received in Albania, because, according to her, readers think Marxist theories promoted by the book could endanger Albania's return to Communism. In fact, somewhat insincere in this findings, Leah Ypi probably forgets with intent that the main criticism of her book in Albania involved the exotic reflection of communism in a country where thousands were killed, exiled, and persecuted for a little freedom of thought. In addition, the now famous book in Europe and beyond was packed and traded by the prime minister himself. While at the presentation ceremony, Erion Veliaj and Elisa Spiropali, who, according to what I regularly hear from Arlind Qori, are also the destroyers of leftist ideology and the cause of labor class suffering.

By getting involved in the daily dynamics of developments in Albania, perhaps for those of us living here it is impossible to secede and judge coldly for the theories and possibilities of exit from this <x0-thalm” political thought. Surprisingly, Leah Yip faced this challenge. While we rush to rank the criminalisation of government politics and corruption as the main cause of the situation, Ms. Ypi listed the Rama government agreement for illegal immigrants with Giorgia Melon as problematic. She failed to mention the signatory's name, Edi Rama. In fact, there is no need to complete deeper philosophy studies to understand that to achieve this degree of arrogance for this agreement, Edi Rama has had to violate many laws and principles, not just politics. Something was also mentioned at the end of the prime minister's idea of the “Bektash State,” ideas that Leah Ypi had not yet processed, and hoped it would be a government diversion, without analyzing why she needs and why she serves Edi Rama this diversion.

At the end of a two - hour conversation, I found it difficult to understand the real reason for confronting theories between the two most popular philosophers in Albania. As one of them heads a movement that will compete in the upcoming elections with logo and programme, the question naturally arises: are representatives of the radical left in Albania becoming an extension of Lea Ypi's Marxism, where the theories packaged with government marketing are political alternatives? If a group like “Movement Together,” that claims to protect working class rights and has declared war on oligarchs and government, complex and fails to identify a current political position in front of Leah Ypit, does the leftist radicals prefer glory more than the troubles of the oppressed class?

This is certainly not my personal concern for a political group that represents in my personal opinion an outdated political theory whose failure in practice is an undeniable fact. The only concern in this case is the fact that in Albania, new groupings that claim to bring something different from what the current political class weighs on our backs are not yet able to overcome personal egos in fulfillment of public promises. Whether Arlind Qori is right or not when he attacks new Lapaj and Saban groups for being hostage to oligarch interests, the public will vote on the upcoming election. But for Arlind Qori to fail to ask Leah Ypin about her opinion (or position) on how Rama oppresses the working class, a middle - aged person understands that. As for Leah, let's let her theory Marxism and finish her second book, which Edi Rama will no doubt have more original promotion than that of the first book, in the home of the former dictator.
