Albanian journalist Mero Base has sharply criticised Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti for his absence at the Tirana Summit.

He has mocked the Kosovo prime minister, saying he has excellently missed this summit.

In this interview presented the Nacional newspaper, Base has said that neither Greece's prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has participated in this summit.

At the EU summit with Western Balkan countries, according to him, the two prime ministers having problems with Albania have not participated.

He has told of the problems they have with Albania, the two lacking summit. With his absence, he has said, Kurti has shown it is closer to Greece than with Albania.

Speaking of Kurti's reports with Rama, Base has said Kosovo's prime minister is angry with Albania for the fact that she has no problems with the West.

National: Mr. Base, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti did not attend the Tirana Summit. How did you view his physical absence to this summit, because yet he participated virtually?

Base: It wasn't just Albin Kurti. Prime Minister Mitsotakis and Mungoi. There are two Balkan leaders who are angry with Albania. Mitsotakis is angry that a political doll of Art Dawn in Albania has been caught stealing votes and Greece has failed to convince the US and Europe that justice in Albania should be influenced by Greece's prime minister. Albin Kurti is angry why the EU and the region agree with Albania's policy and disagree with its policy. In a way, she is angry with Albania because she has no problems. Particularly, both those missing the Tirana Summit are well with each other. So, actually Albin Kurti is closer to Greece than with Albania.

National: Mr. Kurt's absence reasoned that his visit to Britain and Ireland was in advance last year. Do you believe in this reasoning or do you think the absence was deliberate?

Base: I think Albin Kurti suffers from mania that he should be in the spotlight where he goes. In this case, I assure him he has been excellent at his absence in Tirana.

National: Can this absence be considered a diplomatic blow that Kurt did to Rama?

Base: Edi Rama had not called the Albanian mayors of the region or the Albanian prime ministers of the region to harm Albin Kurti's absence. He called the entire European leadership and came. Albin Kurti's absence is the rejection of the Western presence in Albania.

National: Mr. You know both prime ministers well. What's wrong with the reports between them?

Base: I don't think there's any drama between them. There is an unnecessary protagonism of Albin Kurt to rule the Albanian world. The ease with which he rules in Kosovo after his rivals have gone to prison has created the idea that other leaders of the Albanian world should be imprisoned or removed from the scene to leave it empty. It's just a personality crisis. I think that if I take it quieter, it would seem more beautiful to the Albanian space that now seems to hate that you're denying it as the international leader <x0).

National: Can these prime ministers' reports harm the interests of Kosovo and Albania?

Base: No, I don't think they hurt Albania's interests, as they are not related to the fate of Albin Kurti. And Kosovo's interests are not so damaged if it opposes Albania. Kosovo's interests are damaged when he opposes Western politics. And he only hates Albania as a Western partner. This is a big problem.

National: It seems Rama's reports with President Osmani have normalised. Can they also expect Rama urti's reports to improve?

Base: Edi Rama does not enter the people seeking enemies, much less among Albanians. He wants partners. Of course, there is a rather problematic and uncompetitive style as far as personal reports form with world and Albanian leaders. You can make him a very good friend, but you can never make a useful enemy. I won't let you make him an enemy to serve you as such. He only serves you as a friend. I think Vjosa Osmani has taken a very serious stance on Russian provocations about Ukraine's problem in the Balkans and has not fallen prey to Russian propaganda provocations that try to counter the Kosovo issue against Ukraine. A responsible lady has been shown up to her duty. She hasn't become a friend to Eddie Rama, nor was she his enemy. It is simply sitting on the ground because of its responsibility as Kosovo president. She simply doesn't see the problem of Albania having Western support, but sees it as a chance for Kosovo. And that's a huge ideological and principled difference between her and Albin Kurt that will lead them to a crash somewhere if Albin Kurti doesn't change his approach to his neighbour towards the West.
