Memli Krasniqi in Switzerland: Politicians, irresponsible governments are temporary, Kosovo is eternal

 Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, along with many other party officials, have participated in the footnote of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence in Aragau, which was organised by the PDK branch in Switzerland.

During this manifestation, Mayor Krasniqi said that exiles are the pillar of our nation and state, though scattered throughout the globe.

You have sacrificed everything away from home to keep your dream of freedom, independence and statehood alive. Today, I proudly stand beside our successful immigrants in every corner of the world -- individuals who have brought honor and glory to the name of Kosovo and the Albanian nation through hard work and maximum success. Everyone, without exception, proudly claims to be from Kosovo: from Granit and Taulant Jaka, Gerdan Shaqiri to I want Lipa and Rita Ora. This is pride and no one can take this from us”, Chairman Krasniqi has said.

Furthermore, he has added that the exiles are the catalyst for each important development in our country's history. And, as such, they are part of the compound, ineligible and extremely necessary for the European future of Kosovo.

Therefore, your involvement in political life and your direct contribution is necessary. I who today want to tell you that in the upcoming parliamentary elections, expected to be held this year, Not only will the PDK run representatives of our tributaries, starting here from Switzerland, but I am convinced that we will also have your representatives as deputies in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo”, Chairman Krasniqi has said.

Because Kosovo needs you. And we are grateful for your hard work”, he said.

In this anniversary of independence, Mayor Krasniqi also cited the great lack of men, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini and their companions.

It's not complete, because our party is missing those who should be at the forefront of this day's liberation of our country, the most deserving of our state, the declareer of independence Hashim Thaci, Kadri Wessel and their friends. Those who one life devoted to fighting for Kosovo's freedom, independence, and statehood are being absent. Therefore, from here, from this grand rally, we still send our most beloved greetings to our heroes in The Hague, who courageously and decisively are carrying out the final battle to prove the purity and justice of our people's freedom struggle”, Mayor Krasniqi said.

Leader of The PDK added that we must together celebrate not only the triumphs of our past, but also face grim realities that define our present.

Our beloved Kosovo, our place of hope and freedom, finds itself mired in the depths of despair, chained by the chains of inadequacy and irresponsible of a corrupt government in the soul and without national ideal. Our government, charged with sacred duty to serve the interests of the people, has failed sadly. Through its actions, it has put into danger even our hard-earned relations with our international allies, leaving us isolated on the” world scene, Chairman Krasniqi has said.

Chairman Krasniqi said the consequences of the actions of this Government extend well beyond the realm of diplomacy.

They are causing countless suffering to our citizens, ruining our economy, health, education, infrastructure, culture, environment and any other sector. Over three years in power, no serious and major project for our country has been accomplished by this government. Unfortunately, today, Kosovo and its citizens are in despair”, Mayor Krasniqi said.

However, he added, it is our duty, as the reformist and nationalist party, to get our country out of this situation.

“In the face of this degradation, we should not lose hope as we did not lose hope before the war or after that. Even in our darkest hour, faith remains a thread that promises a better tomorrow. Because better days await Kosovo, I'm sure. But it is not enough simply to hope for change; we must work actively to accomplish it. It is the duty of every citizen, both inside and abroad, to seek accounts, to strive for prosperity and work hard for the future of our country. Together, we cannot and will not allow the sacrifices of our ancestors to be wasted. Politicians and irresponsible governments are temporary, but our Kosovo is eternal”, Chairman Krasniqi concluded.

The audience also greeted PDK Branch Speaker in Switzerland Ragip Jaka.

Jaka indicated that since PDK expansion has been organised through Swiss cantons, thousands of fellow countrymen have joined the PDK vision.

The chairman of the PDK branch in Switzerland said that work towards increasing and strengthening the PDK will continue with dedication all the time, so he invited all exiles to become part of the journey to bring about the required change in Kosovo.

Over a thousand exiles from all spheres, including officials of all levels of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, participated in the event.

The attendees also greeted the deputy Elmi Recica, the chairman of the Commission for Organising the PDK in Mergita, as well as Arbnora Salhiu, the head of Kosovo's Democratic Youth.
