Kosovo's three main leaders -- President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca -- have officially ignored Albania's contribution to Kosovo from at least 1990 until the declaration of independence in 2008.

On the official evening in honour of Independence Day, at which the president of Albania, Bajram Begaj, except for his presence, thanked all the friendly states and personalities that helped Kosovo's independence, but Albania was not mentioned.

It would not be worth dealing with, whether it would be a forgetting of one of the leaders, or any protocol banality, but it seems to be the political conscious stance of official Pristina, in the spirit of Albin Kurti's anti-Western policy.

I don't want to list now all of Albania's contribution from 1990 to Kosovo, as it is above all a state memory remaining in letters and documents.

Since 1991, when Albania became a democratic country, the diplomacy of the Albanian state has had only one mission and it has been the issue of Kosovo. The new Albanian diplomats of the Foreign Ministry are the first heroes of internationalisation of the Kosovo issue.

Their difficult route, to introduce Kosovo at every international conference organised since O The SEU, the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, and then at international conferences such as London and Oslo in 1992 and so on in years, are a proud history of the Albanian state.

Since 1992, every ambassador of Albania to the West but and elsewhere in the world has followed the Kosovo issue's sole and priority duty. Every foreign minister of Albania, right or left, has had a top agenda on the Kosovo issue.

Until 1995, when Albania was a strongly supported country by the US and the European Community, Albania's foreign policy was simply a service on Kosovo issues.

When Albania cooled diplomatic reports with the US after 1995, due to democratic deviations in Albania, followed by the 1996 collapsed elections and the 1997 riots, the Albanian state was not too creditable to defend the Kosovo issue, but Albanian diplomats continued working as if they were Kosovo diplomats.

By that time Ibrahim Rugova had become an internationally recognised personality, even thanks to Albania's support, and in the period Albania led by Sali Berisha was in crisis with the Western factor in 1995 1997, Ibrahim Rugova was the most Western-backed Albanian political leader.

Even after 1997, the Western-backed Albanian government after Berisha's departure through national unrest became an interlocutor of the Kosovo issue again, and was briefly involved in all the problems accompanying Kosovo until its liberation in 1999.

The Albanian government played a key role in the 1998 1999 refugee crisis, and Albania turned into a war territory for logistical aid during Serbia's shelling by NATO allies.

No other country in the world, ruled out the US due to its clarity and diplomatic power, has more credit than Albania, in internationalism of the Kosovo issue, and the final support of its freedom struggle.

I'm not talking about individuals who engaged physically and gave their lives for Kosovo, but I'm talking about the Albanian state and the official Albanian policy, whether it be left or right government.

Being Albania on the West side, and resolving the Kosovo issue as a human rights issue, based on Western principles of freedom, have been key strategic factors in achieving Kosovo's freedom.

Albania would be useless for Kosovo if it were an isolated communist state or an eastern dictatorship like those that came after 1990 in many former Soviet republics.

Albania helped Kosovo not only because of being brothers of one blood, but above all because of being both on the West side.

The ugly angry gesture of the three main Kosovo leaders, who ignore Albania's contribution to their official thanks, does not stem from the fact that they are anti-Albanians, nor do they hate the Albanian people.

It's worse.

They hate Albania's political moment in relation to Kosovo. They hate the fact that they are at war with the West for their power against Kosovo's interest, while Albania is doing its part as a mother state in the West for the good of Kosovo.

Albin Kurti and his dolls are angry with Albania, why she is on the US and West side and why she is not on their side for electoral interests.

Being with the West has been Ibrahim Rugova's only genius wisdom that changed the course of Kosovo's history, and the KLA alliance with NATO has been the only chance to break up the Yugoslav Army against Kosovo.

Anyone who abandons this path does not abandon Albania, but abandons and jeopardises Kosovo. Kosovo's political leadership has fallen into part of Kosovo, and it can temporarily suffer the problems that come from them.

But Kosovo will live longer than they do.

Albania does.

The only danger for both countries is to unite against the West, for Albin's interests. It is the only way to kill united “”, Kosovo and make Albania a bad Albania. Just as we dream of those who are angry why we don't join Albin against the West.
