It says: Merro Base

It looked like it was a bad schedule. While State Secretary Blinken in Tirana said Albania's behaviour towards Kosovo and the region is the right path for any Balkan country, at the same time US Ambassador to Kosovo, nervous with Albin Kurti, had called for urgent press conferences to reiterate the stance of Undersecretary of State, that Kosovo is losing partnership with the US.

So at the same hour, on the same day and in the two Albanian capitals, the US considers Albania a secure partner and a symbol of the policy the Balkan region should have, while the behaviour of the Kosovo government is losing partnership with the US.

Viewed from afar is a division the US is making between Kosovo Albanians and those of Albania, due to their governments.

But it's not really like that. It is all an effort to appeal to Albanians, not to support governments that are not US partners, without having to repeat the US role and contribution to the foundation of the state of Kosovo and return freedom for Albanians there.

And this stance is important to explain many things from Edi Rama's policy on Kosovo since 2013, and the future of Kosovo's policy and Albania's role.

All those who have preached that Rama has followed an anti-Western Kosovo policy and “have been on Serbia's side” now have a clear answer to whose policy it has followed and on whose side it is on.

The State Secretary has publicly confirmed aloud and figure that Albania's foreign policy is the right path for the stability of the entire region, thus showing not only Rama's shallow critics in Tirana, but also the official policy in Kosovo what to do not lose partnership with the US.

This stance matters even more at the moment when Kosovo is passing. Undersecretary of State, that is, Mr. Blinken's deputy, who has the freedom to speak more directly, has threatened the Kosovo government two days ago that she must decide whether she will be a US partner or not, as by the way she is behaving, she is losing her partnership with the US.

Mr. Blinken's content not to repeat that very serious message is simply a chance that the state secretary is giving the Kosovo government to reflect, not to end up on non-US government lists with the Balkans, such as Dodik's case in Bosnia.

And here again he illustrated the right attitude with that of Albania.

But above all, this stance matters and for Kosovo's political future and the political behaviour of political actors in Kosovo.

Albin Kurti is a populist leader, who does not count Kosovo's fate but its electoral destiny. He does everything to win the heart of an ignorant man who builds busts on a floor, or an immigrant who has been in Germany for 40 years and believes Albin Kurti can defeat Russia and the US with a hand-to-hand move in his belt.

As a folk leader, populist and, above all, as a provincial narcissist, he thinks the US attack on him is a destiny, as it is making him a magnificent figure, being slammed and thrown into the US to satisfy that Turkite in Kosovo's deepest village, avoiding obligations facing the US and the EU for the Ohrid Agreement, signing association and consolidating a policy co-ordinated with the Allies. Albin Kurti is simply an uncertain partner for the West, and this is the only success after three years in power that has arrived.

And here he's been helped even by an unprincipled opposition, who thinks he complexes Albin Kurti by saying he's signing a deal as a traitor and eating his words.

Like Albin Kurti in any reference to his failed policy has Serbia as a bad example, and they in any of their actions are driven by the behavior of Albin Kurti.

The opposition in Kosovo is the founding part of Kosovo, and it does not befit them to behave as deviously with fundamental Kosovo issues. Whether or not Albin Kurti signs the agreement for the Orthodox of the Serbian municipalities, they should have their position in favour of that agreement, if they should be alternative in Kosovo. If they must be the supervisor of Albin Kurti they can continue, but the boss will have Albin Kurti.

Therefore, state secretary from Tirana's messages are important and for the future of Kosovo's policy, to show Albanians there that the race is not who to prove more radical with opposition to Kosovo's Western orientation, but who can be more responsible.

And don't waste time to police Tirana's political orientation for Kosovo. “police” U.S.A., and today you have an assessment of this orientation.

I know Albin Kurti has been trying to demonstrate Tirana for years and justify his fight against Albania by presenting it to Albanians in Kosovo that he is breaking up with Tirana, that they are with Vucici.

No no! It is sharing with Albania that it is with the US. Let Albin find out for himself who he is with, but it is clear that he is reserve Kosovo for an unworthy situation.
