On the Wise Cameras of Progress Rama

With how much enthusiasm and dangerous gullibility were introduced the newest idea of the capital's mayor for the total observation of citizens and visitors. Rejoice the people are telling us Rama, and from now on, smart cameras will follow you at every step, when you walk, when you park, when you drive, when you drink coffee, or maybe even beer, when you put your finger in your nose, or you run away from the wild.

Rama tells us that the smart cameras “will help us through the police, make IDs of people who throw garbage, park on the sidewalks... people involved in theft, beatings....persons who broke into the street one-way, cross the line of full division, or drive in unregistered cars, will be identified immediately by these cameras, which will give signals to the surveillance centre at the police. ”

And according to his deputy Zogaj, there are hundreds of such cameras and that the plan is for these cameras to be placed mainly in countries that have the greatest citizens, such as crossroads, main squares, and parks!

Rama and Zogaj may not know, but the highest value of Western demographic is the integrity and freedom of the individual and privacy. Even with our Constitution, these rights are protected and guaranteed.

By what right and authorise you assemble “hundreds of smart cameras” to spy on the citizens of the capital. The smart camera is a device which connects the face of the citizen to the police database, where every citizen with ID is recorded and the software of “menchur” makes the immediate connection not only of the potential criminal and dangerous parking lotors, but of every innocent person who gets this camera without his permission and will.

By what or by how the Rama/Zogaj garrison that this “mencuuri” of the system will not be misused. Has there been public debate or any demographic expression of civic will for this Stalinist oversight?

What democratic procedure is this unprecedented intervention in our freedoms legitimized? In no democratic country in the world have such methods of spying have been installed without receiving the initial democratic legitimacy of the mounts or at least without a leading public debate!

How can security be guaranteed from abuse since there are no days when we have reports of violations and abuse by police officials and not talk about municipal officials.

By what right does the chairman of everyone else want to monitor the movements and habits of the residents of this free country.

Citizens need to know that this opens up opportunity to use a favorite Rames phrase- Great. for mass abuse of citizen privacy. For blackmail and threat, for persecution and instilence of freedom.

It is a violation of guaranteed rights with the Constitutions that no one dares be monitored without reason of judicial decision. Using smart cameras is a brutal invasion of individual rights and the privacy of Kosovars.

Civil society and the Ministry of Justice must engage, not only not being allowed but also accountable for those responsible for this extreme invasion of freedom of corruption.

The municipality better deal with its daily affairs. To remove the main security violations in the capital: aggressive wandering dogs, smoldering holes in roads, tolls in traffic, darkness in unfocused streets, sewers that are spilling out of endless neighborhoods, dump the sidewalks and walk away from the idea of challenging Kim Jong Un of North Korea.
